Blue-green Algae Red Alert warning for Lake Lyell has been lifted

The Red Alert level warning issued by WaterNSW on behalf of Greenspot, Wallerawang for a high level of potentially toxic blue-green algae has been cleared for Lake Lyell near Lithgow after sampling conducted by EnergyAustralia.

Blue-green algae Red Alert warning for Carcoar Dam has been cleared

The red alert warning for blue-green algae at Carcoar Dam has been lifted after two consecutive algal samples showed levels below the red alert threshold. The site is now on an amber alert for blue-green algae.

Blue-green algae Red Alert for Burrinjuck Dam - Goodhope

WaterNSW has issued a Red Alert advisory for high levels of potentially toxic blue-green algae for Burrinjuck Goodhope. Caution should be applied in the waters extending to the Taemas Bridge upstream of Goodhope and to the junction of the Yass and Murrumbidgee rivers.

Blue-green algae Red Alert for Wyangala Dam

This red alert warning applies only to untreated water at the above location and will remain in place until monitoring and test results confirm that the risk is sufficiently diminished. People should avoid consuming untreated water from this waterbody and prevent pets and livestock from drinking this water.

Blue-green algae Red Alert for Lachlan River at Willandra Weir

WaterNSW has reissued a Red Alert advisory for high levels of potentially toxic blue-green algae for the Lachlan River at Willandra Weir. Latest result of sampling by WNSW has recorded high levels of potentially toxin producing algae. Water users downstream of this location should also apply caution and regularly check water supplies.
