Aboriginal cultural connections

WaterNSW acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the land and water on which we work and recognises the continuing cultural and spiritual connections that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People have to Country. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.

There are around 70 different Aboriginal Nations, each with their own language or language group across NSW.

Origami

Here at WaterNSW we are lucky enough to work in and amongst beautiful and vast landscapes and environments. These places are also home to many animals – great and small.

These are all animals that you might spot on your next trip to one of our WaterNSW dams.

Print, cut, fold and accessorise your own origami paper pals.

Chatterbox challenge

When was the last time you used a chatterbox?

Learn some cool facts about water while testing your family and friends!

Print, colour, fold and play to discover the chatterbox champion.

Enlarge-a-bug

Come and explore the wonderful world of water bugs!

Did you know that water bugs are indicators of water quality? Some water bugs are much more sensitive than others.

Use the grid lines to enlarge your water bug. You might find it easier to copy it one square at a time.

Mirror-a-bug

It’s a wonderful feeling when you spot tiny creatures swimming and living happily in clean and healthy waterways.

Use the line of symmetry to draw the missing half.

Activity Choice Boards

Waterways are home to many different creatures.

Get to know a water creature while completing as many challenges as you can!
