Water infrastructure

WaterNSW owns, operates and maintains a diverse portfolio of critical water infrastructure that supports communities, agriculture, industries and the environment across New South Wales. Our assets include dams, weirs, pipelines, water supply systems, monitoring networks, flood infrastructure and associated mechanical, electrical and operational facilities.

Together, our infrastructure enables the capture, storage and delivery of two-thirds of all water used across NSW, helping ensure a secure and reliable water supply for millions of people.

To support the long-term resilience, safety and performance of these assets, WaterNSW is accelerating investment in its infrastructure network through a Strategic Program.

An ambitious, long-term program that will reduce asset risks and improve asset conditions, by delivering more projects, safely, effectively and efficiently both regionally and across Greater Sydney. The program has an emerging pipeline with the potential to include up to 500 infrastructure projects for planning, design and delivery by financial year 2029.
