Community invited to Menindee flood report info session
8 DECEMBER 2023A senior WaterNSW delegation is hosting an informal drop-in session in Menindee to hear direct from the local community about their experience during last summer’s flooding and how communications can be improved in future.
Improving the co-ordination and availability of key information is a major recommendation from an independently reviewed report into the WaterNSW flood operations at Menindee Lakes up to, and including, the summer of 2022-23.
Feedback from the community will help inform a communications and engagement plan developed by WaterNSW as part of its future flood planning. It will also be incorporated into work to enhance information management between government authorities in future flood events.
