WaterNSW monitoring inflows across inland major dams

WaterNSW is monitoring and managing storage inflows into major dams across regional NSW, with heavy inflows already occurring into Burrinjuck and Burrendong dams in the past 24 hours.

The remaining major WaterNSW regional dams still have storage capacity to capture inflow that is expected to increase sharply due to further heavy rain forecast across catchments today (Saturday, 8 October):

Dam storages as at 11am (gigalitres per day):

  • Burrinjuck 104.8% - Inflows 70GL/day - releasing 55GL/day
  • Blowering 98.6% - Inflow 8.5GL/day – releasing 0.6GL/day
  • Burrendong 115.8% - Inflow 73GL/day – releasing 15GL/day
  • Wyangala 92.8% - Inflow 16GL/day – releasing 10GL/day
  • Keepit 91.1% - Inflow 2GL/day – releasing 10GL/day
  • Copeton 98.2% - Inflow 2GL/day – releasing 15GL/day
