Bellingen Show

Life is a great big canvas! Each year the EJ Mantova Memorial Art Competition is run alongside the Bellingen Agricultural Show and is the longest continuously running Art prize in Bellingen. Watching the various arena events in action can be exciting. But when we have an insight into what the judges are looking for and what comprises a great performance, our viewing enjoyment is even more enhanced. So this year the coordinators will be attaching Information cards to the arena and around the grandstands explaining what the horses and their riders are doing in their discipline and why. This will put the audience right into the picture. Cattle competitions at our Agricultural shows help to connect consumers to the source of the product and to make our local community aware of their region’s Beef & Dairy industries. It’s clear there’s quite an attraction to the Cattle Section, as spectators gather in great numbers around the parade arena every year. In each breed a Junior Champion, Intermediate Champion and Senior Champion is awarded and they then compete against each other to see who wins the Supreme Exhibit.
