Warragamba Dam raising project EIS on public exhibition extended

30 October 2021

The Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the Warragamba Dam raising project for flood mitigation will remain on public exhibition until 19 December, WaterNSW has confirmed.

Prepared by WaterNSW on behalf of the NSW Government, the EIS is a detailed assessment of the project as stipulated by the NSW Department of Planning Industry and Environment Secretary’s Environmental Assessment Requirements.

The EIS public exhibition period has been extended to 19 December to ensure the community and stakeholders have full awareness of what is proposed and an opportunity to make submissions, as part of the NSW Department of Planning Industry and Environment EIS assessment process.

To review the EIS document and make submissions on the content visit:

WaterNSW will provide a formal report to the NSW Department of Planning Industry and Environment in response to the submissions received, as part of the next phase in the EIS assessment process.

WaterNSW will make available explanatory information, as well as a series of webinars to assist the public in reviewing the EIS and making a submission:
