Warragamba Dam raising project EIS on public exhibition

29 September 2021

The Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the Warragamba Dam raising project for flood mitigation is on public exhibition, WaterNSW has confirmed.

Prepared by WaterNSW on behalf of the NSW Government, the EIS is a detailed assessment of the project as stipulated by the NSW Department of Planning Industry and Environment Secretary’s Environmental Assessment Requirements.

The EIS public exhibition period runs until 12 November and offers the community and stakeholders full awareness of what is proposed and an opportunity to make submissions, as part of the NSW Department of Planning Industry and Environment EIS assessment process.

The community can make submissions throughout the 45-day exhibition period to 12 November.

To review the EIS document and make submissions on the content visit:

WaterNSW will provide a formal report to the NSW Department of Planning Industry and Environment in response to the submissions received, as part of the next phase in the EIS assessment process.

WaterNSW will make available explanatory information, as well as a series of webinars to assist the public in reviewing the EIS and making a submission:
