Regional dam storages rising as rain forecast remains

WaterNSW will continue to work with the Bureau of Meteorology to ensure the effective management of airspace releases and storage levels while maintaining water security for the local communities.

Whilst the Bureau of Meteorology has predicted no significant rainfall for the next week, there is an 80% chance of higher-than-average rainfall for the next 3 months.

Wyangala Dam is currently sitting at 96%, up from 75% at the start of June. Inflows of 9 gigalitres (GL) per day are currently being received, with releases of 3 GL per day.

Burrinjuck Dam is currently at 99%, with inflows of 19 GL per day and releases of 20 GL per day. Blowering Dam is currently at 95%, with inflows of 0.6 GL per day and releases of 5 GL per day

Burrendong Dam on the Macquarie River is currently at 103% capacity. Inflows of 9.6 GL per day are being received with current releases of 0.05 GL per day.

Keepit Dam on the Namoi is currently at 95%, with inflows of 1.7 GL per day. Airspace operations at Keepit Dam have ceased.
