Red Alert warning lifted at the Hunter River upstream Glenbawn Dam

The red alert at the Hunter River at Glenbawn Dam has now been lifted. Blooms present in the river and upper reaches of Glenbawn Dam have subsided over the past few weeks

As the red alert has been lifted there are no longer any restrictions on recreational activities advised, and water is suitable for stock watering and irrigation purposes.

WaterNSW will continue to monitor conditions in the river and the downstream Glenbawn Dam.
