12 October 2021

WaterNSW is contacting businesses and landholders along the Tumut River downstream of Blowering Dam with details of a temporary reduction in water releases to allow for maintenance work on Friday, 15 October.

WaterNSW is contacting businesses and landholders along the Tumut River downstream of Blowering Dam with details of a temporary reduction in water releases to allow for maintenance work on Friday, 15 October.

The flow reduction is expected to occur Friday morning for at least two hours and will result in low flows downstream of the dam in the upper reaches of the Tumut River until approximately midday Friday.

The reduction in river levels will be most evident between the dam and the junction with the Goobarragandra River downstream.

Landholders upstream of this junction should monitor river levels and make arrangements to control stock and protect pumps and other infrastructure which may be impacted.

Landholders are encouraged to register for the WaterNSW automated notification system, the Early Warning Network (EWN), to receive important information on local dam operations.
