The Red Alert for the Richmond River at Casino has now been lifted. Sampling by Richmond Valley Council has shown significantly reduced levels of blue-green algae. The site is now at Green Alert with regular monitoring still in place.

WaterNSW is announcing that a NSW Government temporary pump restriction to preserve flows in the northern river valleys is being lifted immediately for high security licence holders in the Peel valley, and for unregulated access in the Mooki River and Quirindi Creek.
