Red Alert warning lifted at Lostock Dam and the downstream Paterson River

The Red Alert at Lostock Dam and the Paterson River has now been lifted following two consecutive results below red alert levels. There have been no recent reports of algal scums in the lake and river.

As the Red Alert has been lifted there are no longer any restrictions on recreational activities in the lake relating to blue green algae although Lostock recreational area will remain closed to the public due to COVID-19.

Water sourced from the lake and river is suitable for normal stock and domestic uses.
