Red Alert warning lifted at Lostock Dam

Red Alert warning lifted at Lostock Dam

11 March 2019

The Red Alert at Lostock Dam has now been lifted following two consecutive results below red alert levels.

Blue-green algae concentrations have decreased over the past couple of weeks, however as some potentially toxic species are still present water users should avoid algal scums or water where it is discoloured.

However, as the Red Alert has been lifted there are no longer any restrictions on recreational activities in the lake.
