WaterNSW increases notification time of IVT account openings

WaterNSW has modified its approach to opening of trade applications under the Murray-Murrumbidgee Inter-Valley Trade account (IVT).

In line with feedback from customers, WaterNSW will extend by one hour the time between notifying that the account is open and receiving trade applications.

WaterNSW has also established an online notification service, so registered users can receive email updates on trade account status. (To register contact the WaterNSW customer call centre on 1300 662 077)

The extended notification period means the WaterNSW website will be updated, as per the current practice, at 9am NSW time* each business day, to display the most current IVT account balance.

However, commencing Monday, 6 March, 2017, when the website indicates that the trade has opened, applications cannot be lodged with WaterNSW until 10am (NSW time*) on that day. Applications received before 10am (NSW time*) on that day will not be accepted.

Approval of applications will cease when the IVT account limit is reached. All other trade processing arrangements will remain unchanged.

Executive Manager Customer and Community, David Stockler, said the changes are in line with feedback from industry participants.

“These modifications are part of our ongoing commitment to continuous improvements and enhanced market transparency,” he said.
