Berembed weir reserve reopens to public

20 September 2017

Berembed weir reserve will reopen to the public from Friday, 22 September, WaterNSW confirmed today.

The popular recreation area was initially closed to the public after firearm use and anti-social behaviour prompted concerned community members to contact WaterNSW.

During the closure WaterNSW undertook extensive maintenance and upgrade work on the weir itself.

The reserve will reopen on Friday this week in time to coincide with an anticipated surge in visitation due to the school holiday period.

WaterNSW will also erect signage advising visitors that conditions of entry include a prohibition on firearms, dogs and wood-cutting.
